Miniaturization : Evolutionary Concept in Technology

Image
On asking evolutionary inventions till date, anybody will list smartphones, mag-lev train, internet etc. No doubt they are, but today we are going to glance at a 'concept' in technology instead of a product or service which brought evolution. The concept is Miniaturization. It is defined as a trend to manufacture smaller mechanical, optical and electronic devices. In simple language it is downsizing. Today computer branches like IT, CS, AI and ML are at peak. Logic gates, flip-flops, Finite State Machines serves as memory, decision making and algorithmic hardware. Most importantly we can't code in air; we require hardware therefore according to me electronics is backbone of computer branches. Let's have a look how it helped in miniaturization of computer. History of Computers Today computers are performing unimaginable and smart tasks. Earliest computer devices were the machines that perform mathematical operations. Almost computers were counting devices then. Abacus ...

The Science in Spirituality

Few days ago, I overheard a conversation while waiting for the bus. The conversation was going in between a teenager and his father. The teenager was explaining his father about development in science and technology and how the science turned life easier. I was fully impressed by his word and agree too because science has changed our lives in true sense, at the same moment his father interrupted him and told him demerits of technology on the base of his spiritual views and ancient inventions. It seemed that his father has deep knowledge of spirituality. The discussion was science versus spirituality; and I couldn't decide whether who is right and who is wrong? I left the stop but still the thought stuck into my mind whether science is superior or spirituality? I decided to continue the war of thoughts, to win any one out of science and spirituality. When I was gathering information, I came to know that NASA has recorded the sound waves which are emitted by the sun and the sound ma...

Top 7 forbidden inventions who could have change the world

Image
We all are now evident of the statement that ‘Science has changed the world’. No doubt it is true, science has really turned life easier but there are some inventions who could have changed the world but they were lost, suppressed and forbidden. Tie your seat belts, we are ready to take off.   1. Sloot Digital Coding System Whenever we buy new smartphone, we check that how much internal and external memory it supports. Besides having ample memory we face shortage of it. What if you could store 64 GB in 1 GB card? Jan sloot had made it possible. He was a dutch electronic technician who invented a data compression technique and demonstrated in Philips company by playing 8 full hollywood movies just in 64 kB memory card, but before handing over the source code, he died. The floppy in which he had stored source code was mysterically lost and never found. Resultantly we missed a great invention. 2. starlite A famous chemist Maurice Ward invented a material which could withstand with ve...
